I've been working with dogs for over 15 years now, and they never fail to constantly amaze me. I started with domestic dog training and agility with my own and friends dogs along side my "proper" job before I decided to take the leap and work with dogs full time.
I decided to retrain in canine rehabilitation when one of our family dogs had a double hip replacement and needed so much rehabilitation from so many places to get back on her feet. So, I became a fully qualified small animal hydrotherapist in 2016 and I've never looked back!
I adore hydrotherapy, which I continue to do a few days a week, but I wanted to develop my knowledge further to help more dogs outside of the pool environment.
I became a fully qualified canine massage therapist in 2020 which allowed me to launch Wicks and Wags.
I am currently finalising my Veterinary Physiotherapy degree, but since 2020 I have also completed training in myofascial massage and release (2021), oncology massage (2022), canine conditioning and exercise prescription (2020) as well as lots of electrotherapy treatments (2021-2024).
Outside of work, I'm a musician (flute, piano and I took up the harp during lockdown), fibre artist (I am constantly covered in fluff as well as dog hair), recent pantomime actor (2024) and mum to two completely nutty golden retrievers and two cats.
I look forward to meeting you and your precious furry friend and sincerely hope I can help them feel their very best!
